What are the categories of candidates?

The categories are :

  1. UR : Un-Reserved
  2. OBC(Creamy Layer)
  3. OBC(Non-Creamy Layer)
  4. SC : Schedule Caste
  5. ST : Schedule Tribe
  6. PH : Physically Handicapped
  7. Ex-SM: Ex-Serviceman

What are the age relaxation for various categories?

Age Limit: 30 years as on cut off date for submission of application i.e. twenty days from the date of publication of this advertisement. Upper age limit relaxation is given as under:

  1. Upto a maximum of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  2. Upto a maximum of 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC.
  3. Upto a maximum of 10 years if the candidate is a physically handicapped person.
  4. For candidates belonging to SC/ST who are physically handicapped, the maximum age relaxation is 15 years.
  5. For candidates belonging to OBC who are physically handicapped, the maximum age relaxation is 13 years.
  6. Upto a maximum of 3 years (8 years for SC/ST and 6 years for OBCs candidates) for Ex-Servicemen. This is in addition to the period of their service in the Defence force. However, they should not have crossed 50 years of age.
  7. Relaxation in the case of govt. Servants as per orders and instructions in force by the central Govt.
  8. Upto 40 years in the case of departmental candidates (in case of SC/ST 45 years).
  9. For any other category, the age relaxation as per Govt. rules as promulgated from time to time.

Note: The prescribed qualifications, age limit, etc. shall be reckoned as on 24.08.2012


Which are the written test centres I can choose?

New Delhi, Bhopal, & Mumbai.

Do I need to have the Demand Draft ready before filling up the application form?

Yes. GEN/OBC candidates only will need to provide certain details from the DD at the time of online submission of application form.


What is the amount for the DD to be sent?

Applications should be accompanied by Bank Demand Draft for 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only)drawn in favour of General Manager, Bank Note Press payable at Dewas is to be enclosed. Candidates are advised to write their name and post applied for on the reverse side of the DDSC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of above fees provided they attach a attested copy of SC/ST/PH certificate as applicable, issued by the Competent Authority at the time of submitting hard copy of the application form


In whose favour should the DD be made?

The DD should be in favour of " General Manager, Bank Note Press " drawn preferably on any Scheduled Bank, payable at Dewas .

Which are the documents to be sent?

Application complete in all respect: in an envelope superscribed, "Application for the Post Name: _______________ " should reach on or before 24.08.2012. Following are the list of documents to be submitted:

  • Print out of the filled online application form having auto generated Application Number with phtograph affixed  and duly signed.

      What is an auto generated Application Number?

      An auto generated Application Number is a unique number allotted to you on successful submission of online application form and will appear on print version of the application form. This Number will be required for accessing, downloading and printing the written examination and skill test call letter.

      How can I download my admit card for the Written Test?

      Registration Process will be completed only on receipt of duly completed Print Version of Online Application Form.

    1. Admit Card of only those candidates will be uploaded whose application form alongwith attested photostat copies of documents for proof of age/qualifications/caste/disabilty(PH)/Ex-serviceman Cert.(whereever applicable) etc. will be reached on the Post Box No: 3076, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003 by 24.08.2012 ; and found eligible.

      On the basis of information given in the Application Form, Admit Card of provisionally eligible candidates will be available for download on Website of http://specialtest.in/bnp2k12

      On such downloaded admit cards, the candidates are required to affix their photograph (similar to that affixed on the Application Form) on the downloaded Admit Card and get it attested by a Gazzetted Officer / School or College Principal for producing at the Examination Centre. Candidate without the admit card or without the photograph on the downloaded admit card will NOT be permitted to appear in the written examination.
